A session started on one device runs on all of them at once, so closing the laptop and picking up the phone does not undo it, and the same account covers Mac, Windows, iOS, Android and Chromebook with no device limit. Blocklists are custom, with exceptions for the sites you genuinely need, and focus music and ambience are built in. The paid plan is mostly about not having to remember: sessions can be scheduled ahead or set to recur through the week, run for hours at a stretch, and Locked Mode stops you quitting the app to get around it. It is $8.99 a month, $3.33 a month billed yearly, or $199 once for a licence that does not renew.
