“But with Bitwarden, the Yubikey is especially important. That’s because you can use it not only for 2FA, but also for passwordless login itself. So, in effect, you can store your Bitwarden password right inside Bitwarden itself in case you forget it (you’ll then log in to Bitwarden using the Yubikey).”

“I have bitwarden on my computer and my phone. 2FA keys i get to my Microsoft Authenticator.”
fredrik_skne_se · reddit ·
“I created a Bitwarden account three days ago and I’ve been going through my emails, closing old unused accounts and changing passwords on every social media or service that needs one. I also downloaded Ente Auth and turned on 2FA (TOTP) for every account I have, including Bitwarden and Gmail, everything except my Microsoft account.”

“Is it the Chromium one? If so, it’s a bitwarden issue that it can’t be disabled from the Chrome-settings page in Vivaldi and should be reported to them.”
Alacho · reddit ·
“Another just in case I would go to bitwardens website and de-auth all previous sessions.”

“I have begun experimenting with possibly moving from 1Password to Bitwarden. My windows experience has been very favorable but I do have a question on iOS. In iOS if I open an app enter a username and password and then login I’m not getting any kind of prompt from Bitwarden to save the password or username.”

“I currently use Bitwarden which I don't necessarily have any issues with, but I like self hosting and am interested in KeePass but I have a few questions.”

“Bitwarden has lost the plot. The most recent Windows update is so bad. It has way lower information density in the UI, more buttons to click for the same use, no longer puts focus on the search field by default (this one makes me irrationally angry), and on one of my Win 11 installs can't lock the vault, manually or automatically.”
itintheory · hn ·
“Have you checked that the Bitwarden extension is enabled in Chrome Beta and that the vault is unlocked? Also try opening the extension settings and turning on “Autofill on page load.” If that doesn’t help, removing and reinstalling the extension or testing in an incognito window may narrow down whether another extension is interfering.”
Temporary-Gas-1485 · reddit ·
“For the life of me I cannot get Bitwarden to autofill forms in Chrome or Chrome Beta. However, it works fine for me in Microsoft Edge. I have it set as the default password manager in Chrome and I've tried going through all of the troubleshooting steps that I could find.”

“I am using Bitwarden extension for my passwords. So by definition, I don't use Vivaldi Password Manager. However, when I enable the extension and login to some page, a popup from Vivaldi Password Manager appears, asking if I want to save the password there.”

“Hey there, have you considered turning inline autofill off for Bitwarden and just using the keyboard shortcut when you need it?”
dwbitw · reddit ·
“What I would probably do, is you could set up so you can access Bitwarden with FaceID, and require password re-prompt on your more sensitive login. Alternatively, you could set up Bitwarden to unlock with a PIN.”
fdbryant3 · reddit ·
“So for extra sensitive things, have Bitwarden require a password prompt. That's an option you can enable on individual items.”

“And I keep a free copy of Bitwarden for secure notes, etc. Bitwarden is in the process of revamping its UI and the screenshots I've seen look good. There's also Uplock to supplement AP, and it has a nice UI, but it's subscription (five free entries).”
